Toolbox Talk. PechaKucha Night Christchurch Vol.31

THIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT

CoCA has teamed up with PechaKucha Night Christchurch to present Vol.31, themed Making Space.

PechaKucha is a fast-paced, informal and fun gathering for sharing ideas, thoughts or just holiday snaps.

What's PechaKucha?

PechaKucha Nights are informal and fun gatherings where people get together and share their ideas, works, thoughts, holiday snaps -- just about anything, really -- in the PechaKucha 20x20 format.

PechaKucha 20x20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images.

With PechaKucha Nights now happening in over 500 cities around the world, we have discovered that most cities -- not just Tokyo where it began -- have virtually no public spaces where people can show and share their work in a relaxed way.

The presentation format was devised and shared by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham architecture. The first PechaKucha Night was held in Tokyo in their gallery/lounge/bar/club/creative kitchen, SuperDeluxe, in February, 2003.

The notion of making space is super broad and we would like to celebrate different perspectives on this theme!

Don’t miss out! Tickets go on sale Wednesday 17 May. Seating will be limited so make sure you keep an eye out for further announcements including ticket sales and speaker line-up. Watch the Facebook event page for more information: https://www.facebook.com/events/438780883129439/
