Viv Wotton: ...lost in Aotearoa

The works in this exhibition are landscapes and fluid abstractions, dealing thematically with identity, human connection, and memory.

An exercise in trying to understand what it is about New Zealand landscapes that evoke strong feelings of belonging, place, and identity, these works have been developed out of Wotton's love of landscape, history, and memory.

A self-taught artist, Wotton made the decision in 2012 to leave corporate work and follow her artistic passions. She describes her practice as beginning with the power of observation, working in paint, printmaking, and drawing.
