Hannah Beehre has researched drawing practices, exploring the mechanics of art making and inspiration, over the past 10 years. One area of particular interest is the peak performance neural state known as flow and its potential as a tool for drawing.

As part of Mark Work, Beehre will lead a series of special events on the phenomena of flow, presenting the necessary conditions and potential triggers of the state. Beehre will also present exercises and ideas for participants to explore based on her research.

16 June, 6.30pm – The Flow Experience: The Four Key Markers

7 July, 6.30pm – The Neurobiology of Flow: Hacking your Brain

4 August, 6.30 – The Psychology of Flow: Developing New Ways of Working

$5 (plus booking fees) for each session to cover materials - tickets available from Eventbrite - linked from the listings above.

These events are suitable for all skill levels, ages 18+ (may involve a life model and discussions on altered states).  Sessions will run for around one hour and all materials will be provided.
