Join artist Jess Nicholson for a clay impressions workshop.

We will explore the pottery adage ‘clay remembers’ by imprinting the textures and patterns around us into clay. This saying, usually used in a technical context, also speaks to the te ao Māori belief that we are born from, belong, and ultimately will return to the land.

Jess will guide us through a short walk in the CoCA Gallery surroundings to search for patterns we can imprint clay with. No experience required, wear comfortable shoes, all materials provided. This workshop is free to attend, spaces are limited, booking is essential.
