From time to time, our galleries will be closed for exhibition changeover. Please check our exhibition programme to see what’s on, or our events page for upcoming events.
Walking
The gallery is located in the central city, close to the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū, and within walking distance to the Botanic Gardens, Ravenscar House Museum, The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora galleries, Quake City, and Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre.
Car or Bike
The closest public car park can be found at the Christchurch Art Gallery, with access off Gloucester Street. Otherwise, metered parking is available outside our Gallery, and in surrounding streets.
There are a number of bike parks available nearby – across the road, just down from our Gallery, or on the forecourt of the Christchurch Art Gallery.
Bus or Tram
The Christchurch Tram travels along two parallel streets either side of our Gloucester Street Gallery. Hop off at the Christchurch Art Gallery, or Cranmer Square stop, and take a short stroll.
We are located just 10 minutes walk from the Central Bus Station, down City Mall and along the beautiful Avon River. See the Metro website to plan your bus route or contact Metro on +64 (03) 366 8855.
Admission to the CoCA Ō Papa gallery is free. CoCA Toi Moroki is a charity, donations are welcomed, and help support Aotearoa artists to exhibit in our Gallery.
The Gallery has wheelchair access and an accessible toilet. A wheelchair is available for visitor use from the front desk. This can also be booked in advance.
If you have specific accessibility requirements, you are welcome to contact us before a visit on +64 (03) 366 7261 or email info@coca.org.nz
CoCA is family friendly, and children are welcome in the Gallery. In order to keep artwork – and children safe – please supervise your tamariki and follow any advice from Gallery staff.
Toilets are located on the ground floor, and our accessible bathroom has baby changing facilities.
All assistance animals are welcome in the building.
Cloaking is available for bags, coats, and umbrella storage.
Lux Espresso is located on the ground floor, serving great coffee, sandwiches, salads and pastries to Gallery visitors. Lux is open Monday to Friday 7-3.30.
You are welcome to take photos in the Gallery without flash. Sometimes, we host exhibitions where photography is not allowed, this will be clearly communicated. If you would like to tag us on Instagram: @cocatoimoroki
If you wish to take photos for commercial use, please contact us at info@coca.org.nz to seek permission in advance.
