With Steven Junil Park
Let’s come together and use our voices with no pressure to be good or on key! After some warm-ups and vocal games, Steven will offer a visualisation prompt that will guide the group through an improvised score. This score was originally created and performed for his 2021 perfume ‘CAVE’ he performed with Josie Archer, Kosta Bogoievski, and Olivia McGregor.
Any experience level is welcome, including no experience at all! If you are curious or hesitant about singing in front of other people, come and give this a go. Promise it won’t be too scary!
As space is limited please book your place through Humanitix.
About the artist
Steven Junil Park (he/they) is a Korean-born multi-disciplinary artist based in Ōtautahi. He is known for his work under the name 6×4 where he produces functional objects from recycled, repurposed, and vintage materials, focusing on the medium of clothing to address questions of identity and place.
Steven’s practice is heavily process based, where materials come alive while being worked to create a language for communion with the intangible. He sees collective arts practice as a framework for togetherness and connection in the cultural, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of the human experience.
